Maintenance

She was in the shop again. It was for a major service.
1) Change engine
2) Gear oil
3) Drive belt
4) Brake pump
5) Brake disc (rear)
6) Throttle cable
7) Temperature sensors

Wow....RM700 plus. Really was a major service. I am glad because I can enjoy zooming on it again.

Coolant temperature a bit high though..........

100,000km

Yessss... it;s already been ridden for 100,000km. Believe it or not, it has been that long.... and far. So you see, it is really worth the money.

To those out there, whom had difficulty to decide what to use to commute everyday.... close your eyes and just.... Elegan!

Exhaust nuts... loose!

It just the nuts. It's not properly tightened. Once tightened, it is as quite as new.

Soon after that, there was a glittering sound in the muffler. Well I went to the mechanic again. They remove the exhaust system and sent it to the welder. Once done, the sound disappeared.

Well, I think the Elegan is getting too old!

Exhaust

There is a sound or pressaure leaking near the exhaust port. It is really interfering with the overall satisfaction while riding. I hope it will not caused any problem to the cylinder head or the valves.

I will be going back to the mechanic tomorrow.

Major Service

I had 3 unwanted nails / spike in my rear tires. I was in Putrajaya when I realised it. The tire pressure was already at it's minimum but managed to get it inflated again at Precinct 14 motorcycle shop.

A few days ago, I  went to repair it. At the same time, get the transmission checked. Big mistake or rather very lucky. Most of the bearing already worn out.

So, they replace the main shaft bearing. But the gear box bearing had also worn out. The clutch lining already half gone. So I accepted the mechanic's suggestion.... replace the whole set. My... it cost me a fortune.

Tire, clutch unit, engine oil, gear oil............RM650

But my Elegan still runing at high temperature. I went back and left my Elegan there. So, now they replace the water pump cover which had some broken section at the joining area. Some more money.... arrgghhhh...

Today I am testing it. Seems okay so far. Good acceleration (new clutch), still no top speed (120km/h the most). Handling is a little better. May be it's due to the replacement of the shaft bearing and having a new rear tire.

I am okay with that. Oh... forgot to mention. My Elegan has already done 94,500km.....

93,000km

I have not updated this blog for quite sometime now. A little busy with my little business.

I was on the Elegan again this last few days. It was very nice. It is much easier when I have to send my boy to school in the morning. After sending him, I went straight to work.

It is already 93,000km now. The drive system is a little bit noisy. I need to get it checked before it really broke down.

I am not really sure what is the problem but I think it must be the auto clutch system. But have got to wait until pay day...................................

New tyre again

This time I used FKR (rear). Just wanted to try something different. I had used it before. Personally I thing it is pretty good for commuter like me.

My Elegan is already doing 85,00km now. Not perfect but still in pretty good shape. Top speed already dropping. It's hard even to get 120km/h now but no problem commuting to office at 110km a day.

I am thingking of getting the Symphony 250... but... ehmmm.... for 18k.... may be I'll save some more....... get the TMax instead........ ha... ha.......
